Outgoing mail to the USA and Germany + Blog Update

By Lifeofpjern - January 26, 2022

Hi everyone, welcome back. I can't believe it's already 2022 and I've been away for almost 2 years. Crazy how time flies. Life definitely got in the way, especially with the pandemic which I can't believe we're still dealing with COVID even now, when we all thought it was going to be over in 2 weeks... boy were we all wrong. Hope everyone has been staying safe and healthy. I decided to start blogging again, even if it won't be as frequent. I will try my best to update y'all on my snail mail adventures but I guess time will tell. This year I've decided to get back to writing letters/postcards while I'm running my own online business of selling things on Poshmark, eBayZazzle, and FB Marketplace. My goal is to write to my prison pen pals, letters to the persecuted, the More Love Letters requests, and The Letter Project, as well as writing postcards to people on postcrossing. Last Christmas I got the chance to write many Christmas cards because of the Angel Card Project  and the More Love Letters which made me want to start writing letters again.  This year I'm starting out by sending out mail to the USA and Germany; one postcard and two letters. The postcard is for Postcrossing while the letters are for my prison pen pals in Texas.

Unfortunately since last year we can no longer send regular cards to prisoners in Texas, just regular white paper and white envelopes. There's a lot of restrictions but I found out that if I use regular inked stamps, it was allowed (which my prison pen pals were shocked to find out) so I have decided to make themed letters by matching the USPS stamps with the inked stamps. This letter was themed "flowers" by using a flower USPS stamp and a flower ink stamp. I have other flower USPS stamps and ink stamps so I do plan on making more flower themed letters in the future. Hopefully one day we can go back to sending cards with washi tape and stickers. Well that's it for now, hope you have a wonderful day and God bless!
