Exploring... Lava Cantina

By Lifeofpjern - July 17, 2018

Whenever I pass through Frisco, TX, a restaurant kept getting my attention since it has a nice water feature at the front of the restaurant. That restaurant is Lava Cantina which is located in The Colony, TX.
I didn't know what to expect when I went inside, but it turns out to be a music theme restaurant, rock-n-roll to be more exact.
There's a stage outside where they hold concerts as well as a Popsicle station called Rock n' Pops for their desserts.
My family and I ordered:

Catfish Atchafalaya
Fried catfish strips served over a bed of roasted poblano corn maque choux and topped with crawfish gator dip. Plus a side of charro beans and rice with andouille and chorizo sausage.

Throwback Fajitas
Steak fajitas served with tortillas, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese, charro beans and rice with andouille and chorizo sausage.

Popsicoles
Strawberries & Cream, Wedding Cake with Caramel Drizzle, Mango

Overall the food was just ok, but the popsicles were great! I guess I expected more cause it looked so nice from the outside.
