Day 7 of Thanksgiving - Thankful Notes

By Lifeofpjern - November 23, 2017

Day 7 of the 7 Days of Thanksgiving is Thankful Notes.

Since Thanksgiving is a Holiday that represents being thankful, I would like to share with y'all some of the things I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving. Below are my 7 thankful notes.

1. Family
Seriously, Family is so important to me, my parents and my brother are my world. I thank God for them all the time and I couldn't and won't imagine my life without them.

2. Life
We do take life for granted until something serious happens and makes one reflect on it. My family has had it's scares with death but I thank God that even though those things happen, my family was able to live another day.

3. Faith
Honestly, I'm grateful for God and my salvation. I always say I don't know how my life would have turned out if I wasn't born into a Christian household cause I probably wouldn't be Christian and who knows where I would be right now. Just from seeing relatives and acquaintances who aren't Christian, I would have gone down a bad path and who knows if I would be alive today. And maybe life can be hard but I know I can trust in Him, that He would never forsake us and see us through like He has done time and time again.

4. Health
As I mentioned before on Thankful Note 2, Life, my family has had it's scares with death especially my mom and my brother. Both have had different types of situations that had occurred to them where honestly they could have died if it wasn't for the grace of God protecting them. Now are they completely healthy and recovered, of course not, but they sure are alive and healthier than before and for that I thank God for their health and lives.

5. Freedom
I'm grateful to live in a country where there is freedom. I'm able to pursue my delights, pleasures, and desires mainly due to the men and women fighting in the armed forces for our freedom. I'm grateful that I'm able to be a Christian without being persecuted (freedom of religion), able to browse the internet to find and connect with different cultures of the world with the click of a button, and enjoy doing things/hobbies that I like without worrying if I'll be punished, just to name a few. We also tend to take for granted the freedom we have when others wish they had the freedom we have.

6. Food
On Thanksgiving all we think about is the food we're about to feast on but rarely reflect on how many people aren't able to eat at this moment. We even complain about the food that is prepared and become picky when others would love to have any type of food to eat. Thank you Lord for the food we have and help us to learn to appreciate what we have.

7. Everything else
Seriously there's so much to be thankful for and if I wrote the list, it would never end. For example: 5 senses, house, car, internet, clothes, friends, phone, etc. I thank you God for everything you have giving me and done for me and my family, even though I may have not noticed or appreciated everything, I thank you for it Lord. Amen.

The 7 Days of Thanksgiving is officially over and with that I just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!
